The Force is with you, but it never hurts to have a little extra help on your side. Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader has cheat codes that unlock everything in the game. There are also cheats for infinite lives and level select codes.
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader Cheat Codes
Cheat codes are entered as passwords, and most cheats require two passwords to activate. After you enter the first code, R2-D2 does not react, and the entry field is reset. When you enter the second password, R2-D2 beeps if both codes are correct. Some unlockables (such as the Millennium Falcon) can only be used on certain levels.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader Glitches
Rogue Leader is littered with graphical glitches and textual errors, but there is one particularly useful bug. If you crash your ship before an intermission sequence starts, your shields will be fully restored when gameplay resumes, and you won’t lose a life.
